.Net Developer - Cork

Our Client are looking for a talented .NET developer to work as part of a software team in Little Island Cork. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting enterprise level applications for use in the logistics industry, utilising the latest in Microsoft technologies and frameworks. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle and an enthusiasm for application development using .NET technologies.

Key Responsibilities
· Designing and developing software for our voice directed warehouse solutions.
· Working with a multi-tier system built using VB .NET, Microsoft SQL and Python technologies
· Meeting customers to define and document requirements
· Managing the product implementation process from requirements analysis to go live
· Supporting code for new and existing customers

Technical Competencies

Commercial experience with the following technologies is required.
· VB.Net / C# .NET
· Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL

Any experience with the following would also be beneficial:
· Python
· .NET compact framework
· ASP .NET and WCF
· TCP/IP socket programming
· Wireless Networks
· Knowledge of logistics and warehousing processes

The Person
� Excellent knowledge of VB.Net/C# .NET language and .NET Framework and Visual studio
� 2+ years’ experience within a commercial environment
� Self-motivated with strong communication skills
� Ability to work as part of a team or independently
� Ability to learn new technologies and complex business processes and use this knowledge to create innovative solutions
