At MI5, Information Technology plays a major role in helping to keep the UK safe and secure. Employing people who have a talent for technology is vital to ensuring that we’re protected from terrorism, espionage and other threats to our national security.

 As a valued member of our motivated team, you’ll support the delivery of our IT infrastructure. With relevant experience, you’ll confidently work with a variety of hardware and systems. You’ll also liaise with customers throughout the organisation, understanding their technical issues. Naturally logical, you’ll work through problems and develop successful solutions. With an understanding of current technologies in IT and excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to communicate information effectively to your colleagues.

Day-to-day, you’ll also have the chance to work on projects ranging from application testing, to delivery for server infrastructure. You may also lead on some smaller projects, researching and planning the delivery of your solutions.

To join us, you’ll have a degree, or HNC/HND or ONC/OND in a relevant discipline, along with a background in IT support and implementation.
