Middleware Administrator
The client is a leading Financial Services Operation with clients and offices around the world. This role is based in their Cork operation where they have a great reputation as an employer.
This is a key role in the organisation and is responsible for deploying and supporting middleware applications using Tibco and IBM WebSphere MQ/application server products. The ideal candidate will have seven or more years of experience with middleware administration.
Specifically you will deploy, administer, support and maintain middleware applications to enable communication between financial applications on diverse platforms with varying interfaces.
The role is responsible for the installation, maintenance and configuration of Tibco, IBM WebSphere MQSeries , Websphere Message Broker, and J2EE Application Server technologies.
In addition you will assess and identify appropriate changes and make recommendations for implementation.
Perform Tibco ESB system administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, problem resolution, system security and change implementation.
Work individually or in a team on various system projects related to UNIX, Linux, Windows and Application support.
Plan, prepare and apply maintenance fixes and upgrades to Websphere software.
Assist application support team with high level problem program debugging through heap and thread dump analysis.
Provide system support including off shift on call support as and when required. Increase staff skill levels by cross training.
You should have at least five years TibcoESB, Tibco BPM, Tibco Hawk, Tibco IBM WebSphere Message Broker, Message Queing, Application Server, Enterprise Content Manager and Tomcat. Full SDLC experience and excellent problem solving and communication skills. Java and JMS exposure would be great as would strong UNIX/Linux operating system administration experience. Candidates must have experience with installation, configuration and administration of Tibco Enterprise Service Bus and be able to setup security for WebSphere MQ queues and other objects for data access and for administration using role based security.
