Our client, a significant financial service business is expanding its operations here in Dublin is looking a talented Senior Linux Engineer to join the technology team. Candidates must be available to work onsite in Dublin2 (up to 4 days a week)
The Senior Linux Engineer will join a global Platform Engineering team who are responsible for architecting and engineering the cloud and on-prem Linux platforms
 
Compensation guide is €150–200K

Responsibilities

- Manage and monitor systems at scale

- Drive standardization through automation, testing and in depth monitoring. 

- Drive the development standards for source control, testing, and continuous integration for infrastructure
- Develop self-service pipelines for deploying infrastructure and platforms
- Develop well defined processes for testing and integrating new technologies
- Reduce operational tasks through automation
- Manage resources through metrics and reporting

 
Requirements

- In depth knowledge of Linux systems administration at scale, networking, and security, including automated configuration and state management, and orchestration across systems
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt
- Experience working with container services (docker, podman, Kubernetes)
- Experience working with bare metal servers and public cloud technologies (AWS)
- Programming and scripting skills (BASH, Python, Ruby, Java and C/C++)
- Experience automating the deployment of services that span physical Infrastructure, configuration management to the application
- Linux authentication and authorization experience
- Experience tuning systems for high throughput and low latency
