Key Responsibilities:

Server Administration: Manage and maintain our server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and monitoring of servers and services.

Network Management: Administer network devices, firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure a secure and reliable network environment.
*
Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, perform regular security audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
*
Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and minimize downtime.
*
User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner.
*
System Monitoring: Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal system uptime.
*
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
*
Patch Management: Stay up-to-date with software and firmware updates, and apply patches and updates as needed.
*
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and initiatives, and provide technical expertise and recommendations.
*
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of quality services and support.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and/or Linux server environments.
* Familiarity with visualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
* Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
* Knowledge of network protocols and security practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
