Software Engineering Manager My Dublin-based client is a market leader in the provision of core systems for health and life insurance across the US, EU and Asia, scaling rapidly off the back of their launch of a suite of end-to-end SaaS products in the insurance space. They are looking for a talented hands-on Software Engineering Manager to work within their Cloud Infrastructure Team to take an active involvement in strategy shaping, risk management, people and line management as well as software craft. Role Overview: As a Software Engineering Manager, you will display a strong customer focus while working closely with product and cloud automation teams to ensure that software delivered is fit-for-purpose and meets non-functional requirements. Working closely with Program and Product Managers, you will lead and develop globally-distributed teams while tracking software economics, cost, quality and effectiveness, acting as a driver to develop fully automated solutions and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Experience: Demonstrable experience implementing modern DevOps techniques to develop scalable and secure public cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP). Extensive experience in enterprise software engineering environments with exposure to the complete software development lifecycle. Knowledge and understanding of continuous integration and deployment. Proven track record of leading and coaching high-performing, multi-discipline teams. Experience designing technically robust and automated solutions. Ability to manage and prioritise delivery deadlines across multiple scrum teams (sprint and release planning, estimation and risk management and technical components).
