AWS Mid-Level DevOps Engineer – Fully Remote from Ireland
My client is a market leader providing innovative technology solutions, adapting to global communication in business and society. To maintain their scaling alongside the company success they have engaged with IT Search to speak to AWS DevOps Engineers, looking to grow their careers within a fast moving environment, working within a small team on a remote basis to manage various aspects of their DevOps and Infrastructure processes.
The role will suit a mid-level AWS DevOps Engineer comfortable working on full lifecycle projects, happy to work as part of a relatively small team who is motivated and eager to learn what they don’t already know.
The role:
- Manage and improve existing processes around scaling, performance across complex technologies being delivered (both cloud and on prem)
- Bring experience in areas such as Monitoring, Provisioning, Security and Deployment
- Additional responsibilities within networking, database and upgrades also part of the role
- Build and deploy with a view to constant improvement of processes
- Some management of third party vendors (areas such as security etc.) as well as client DevOps teams to advise on best practice deployment across their cloud infrastructure
Requirements:
- 6+ years of post-grad commercial DevOps and Infrastructure experience
- AWS Certification preferred but ideally in depth knowledge of AWS deployment of software and additional related experience (strong Unix experience a definite advantage)
- Infrastructure as Code plus specific tools including Ansible, Terraform
- Strength in Kubernetes, Docker plus monitoring experience (ideally Prometheus, CloudWatch)
- Database experience also a bonus plus Automation, CI/CD
- Exceptional communication skills required due to the remote nature of the role
