Ergo are seeking a Network Security Engineer for a permanent role. The role is based in Ergo, Dublin but successful candidates can work remotely. Travel to customer sites maybe required.

The primary duty of this role is to design, install and support network services internally to Ergo and externally to client companies

Key Role Responsibilities

* Provide technical assistance to our external customers
* Provide technical assistance to engineers when they are on customer sites.
* Escalation point for all support calls
* Liaise with vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner
* Use in house tools to track and log calls
* Use Network Management Tools to troubleshoot network issues
* Assist in Network Operation Centre activities
* Occasional on-site work
* Assist with Installation and Maintenance of Ergo Network Operations Centre and Customer Managed Network Services *
* Delivery of Customer Network and Security Projects
* Complete Pre-sales tasks

Education, Qualifications and Skills

* Minimum 6 years' experience installing, maintaining, and supporting firewalls Switching and Routing devices
* BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
* VPN, IPSEC, SSL VPN
* Voice over IP
* Firewall technologies - Checkpoint, Sophos, Cisco and Fortinet *
* Azure Networking - Load balancers, VPN Gateways, Firewalls, NVAs, ExpressRoute
* Authentication, Authorization RADIUS
* Network Management and Monitoring, SNMP
* Proven track supporting networks based on HP, Cisco, Extreme or Juniper equipment
* Strong troubleshooting abilities.
* Strong grasp of Network security: firewalls, routers & switches *
* Strong communication and team-player skills.
* Multitasking - be able to handle multiple issues simultaneously

Certifications in Networking/Security technologies, such as HP MASE, ASE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Checkpoint CCSE, Azure Networking are desirable but not essential
