ICT Services are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician, working on one of our customer sites in Westport, required to provide onsite & remote end user support for senior executives and employees. Must have excellent customer service and the ability to effectively interface with all levels within an organisation in a professional manner. We are seeking a personable, energetic and enthusiastic engineer who can navigate the technical and diverse challenges involved in supporting senior executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Hands on troubleshooting experience resolving a wide range of technical issues relating to Office PC’s and server operating systems, Office 365 email, Printers, Network Software, Backup devices, internet connections etc.)
  • Hardware installation and troubleshooting, Laptop/PC builds, etc.
  • Knowledge of Apple Mac OS.
  • Experienced with Active Directory along with excellent understanding of networking and network environments (wired and wireless) using enterprise authentication
  • Resolves IT issues encountered in a timely manner
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems, asset management, reporting, and process workflow
  • Experience in Exchange 2016 and O365 setup and administration.
  • Experience working and troubleshooting Avaya phone system or similar.
  • Experience working and troubleshooting videoconferencing system.
  • Experience and Working knowledge of networking concepts and technologies in a support environment.
  • Escalate non-standard problems and work with 3rd party support partners to problem resolution where appropriate.
  • Alert management to reoccurring problems and patterns of problems.

Requirements:

  • Third level technical qualification preferred, or alternative.
  • Microsoft MCP or CompTIA A+ Networking qualification.
  • Min of 3 years IT support experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • A strong customer-focused communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
