As a Software Developer, you will join an existing Scrum team working in the API Management space, with an opportunity to gain excellent experience with a wide range of technologies and an insight into various domains of the Air Transport Industry. You will have responsibility to collaborate on the refinement of product backlogs, along with estimation, design and development of User Stories in order to deliver key business value. 

Reporting to the Manager, Software Development, you will be a part of the API management team within the Product Engineering and Integration organization. The API management team has the responsibility for managing our API Management platform (Apigee) along with the development and maintenance of our developer.aero portal

What you will do
•    Participate in the various Scrum ceremonies: backlog refinement; planning; daily stand up; sprint review and retrospective
•    Use analytical skills to analyze work items prior to refinement
•    Implement code to a high standard to deliver the business value associated with User Stories – focusing on company’s developer.aero portal
•    Implement unit tests to ensure quality and test coverage requirements are met
•    Perform code reviews
•    Participate in pair programming sessions when required

Qualifications

Who you are
•    Experience working in an Agile development environment
•    Experience with Java 8, JavaScript
•    Experience with Drupal 8 & PHP a major advantage
•    Experience with front-end development an advantage
•    Understands secure coding concepts
•    Understands source control management with Git
