Job Title: Test Engineer

Location: Dublin

Salary: Negotiable

Duration: 12-month FTC (possible extension)

About the Role:

* To plan, create and manage the testing strategy for contracts in conjunction with the TSG Operations Manager.
* Collaborate with the TSG Operations Manager and TSG team to ensure reliable service delivery. These services currently include (but are not limited to):

* Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) Systems
* Ticketing Systems
* Planning Systems
* Real-Time r Information (RTPI) systems and channels.
* Business reporting capabilities including operator compliance reporting.
* All related communications, fixed and mobile, and infrastructure, hosted and cloud based.
* To document and maintain processes and procedures as applicable to the TSG operations team, with full regard to how these interface with the wider business processes. This will include, but not be limited to: daily service tasks, configuration and release management, incident and problem management, service level continuity management, infrastructure and security management, disaster recovery and business continuity.

* To work with the Quality Assurance Engineer on testing processes to make improvements that ensure consistent system reliability and customer satisfaction.
* To support the TSG Operations Manager in ensuring systems operate and are maintained within agreed service levels.
* To work collaboratively to ensure the effective operation of their systems' integration to the company systems.
* To contribute to the service change management process within the TSG's scope and ensure quality is maintained throughout any period of change. Reviewing requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
* To provide appropriate management level reporting and metrics and undertake or manage further detailed trend analysis as appropriate.
* Track test metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts. Assist with the establishment and management of a knowledge base for the service desk.
* To work with other teams and external vendors to manage and refine processes and practices.

Skills / Experience Required:

* Hold a minimum of an NFQ Level 8 degree in a relevant discipline, being computing, engineering, or technical discipline.
* Have a minimum of 3 years recent satisfactory experience working in an IT testing/development role or similar related roles.
* Experience with a variety of different testing techniques. E.g. UI testing, automated testing, multi-platform testing, etc.
* Experience in developing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
* Confident with SQL and scripting.
* Experience in developing test-driven strategies for continuous product improvement.
* Experience working in accordance with ITIL or similar recognised service management standards.
