Job Title: SQL Database Administrator (DBA)

FRS Recruitment are delighted to announce a SQL Database Administrator (DBA) role for our Dublin-based client. I am looking to speak to skilful DBAs who have a deep knowledge of cloud data management tools and technologies.

Your Responsibilities:

* Work as part of the wider Architecture team to set and maintain our data storage standards
* Provide support to other technical teams on all matters relating to database technologies
* Ensure that all data stored in our cloud and 'on premises' databases is securely stored and archived
* Improve the performance and scalability of our databases both production and non-production(performance, testing, staging, post deployment verification) systems
* Optimise our database configuration from a performance and cost perspective
* Work with a wide range of technical specialist (Architects, Software Developers, QA Engineers and Tech Ops) to deliver robust, scalable and performant storage solutions

Experience / Skills Required:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field, computer science preferred, or equivalent working experience
* Three or more years working as a DBA
* Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies
* Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact
* AWS cloud database experience (Aurora RDS & MySQL)

Nice-to-haves:

* AWS Certified Data Analyst
* MongoDB and other NoSQL experience
