SENIOR J2EE ENGINEER

The role is based in a multinational software development organisation located in the city centre.
This position has overall responsibility for all technical aspects of the company’s product range including the architectural decisions, estimations, code reviews, daily management of an external software development team, liaising with contractors and outsourced partners. You will also work close with project managers and internal stakeholders.
We would like to hear from candidates with at least 5 years Java J2EE development experience with a strong working knowledge of Spring and Hibernate. A good knowledge of Oracle or similar relational database and knowledge of web frameworks is desirable as is exposure to and knowledge of software release management techniques. In addition a background in technically leading teams would be great. Overall candidates should have a strong software development background as although this is not a hands on development role, you will be expected to be familiar with all technical aspects and build procedures of your assigned systems.
