Description
We provide high quality ICT solutions to large clients nationwide, an exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Senior IT Engineer to join their team in Cork.
This is the ideal role for a dedicated IT professional to assist with support and project related services.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies and be involved in the development and planning of projects and rollouts for a client in Cork. You will have the support and technical backup of our management team but will be expected to plan and execute projects without supervision.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior IT Engineer you will assist with support and project related services across a wide range of sites. This is a customer facing role requiring very strong technical expertise and excellent people skills.
Skills/Experience Required:
Several years experience in a similar environment

Strong background in Active Directory, WDS, Group policy etc
-
Experience configuring, managing, troubleshooting Windows Servers (2008/2012)
-
Experience in the setup and troubleshooting of firewall configurations (Sonicwall Preferred)
-
Experienced in the setup and troubleshooting of wired/wireless networks
-
Experienced with end user device configuration, support and troubleshooting
Attributes Required:

Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to take ownership of issues / tasks and follow through without supervision

Ability to work as part of a team with strong customer service focus

Excellent client facing, leadership, communication and Interpersonal skills
Qualifications:

Relevant Degree

Relevant industry qualification(s) e.g. Microsoft /Sonicwall / Cisco

English as primary language
