IT / Network Support Engineer

Our Business:

Formula Networks provide support to various public and private clients nationwide. This role will be based in one site in Dublin, but with the requirement to travel to satellite sites from time to time.

We also have a second vacancy based in Cork.

The Role:

Provide support to the business from within a service desk environment.
Software/hardware support of desktops, servers, MACs.
Install, configure and maintain network components.
Manage and maintain corporate security policies.
Liaise with external service providers for business requirements.
Develop and deliver new business processes in a cost conscious manner.
Systems testing and analysis.
Create and maintain procedural documentation.
Technical reporting.

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

3 – 6 years experience in a similar role(s).
A technical degree with a minimum 2.1 grade.
Enjoy identifying and resolving problems.
Have very good project management skills.
A team player, highly committed and self-motivated with good business acumen.
Be highly organised and efficient.
Be extremely flexible and possess good work ethic.
Be service-minded and helpful.
Enthusiastic about learning new technologies.
Very proficient in spoken and written English.

Ideal Technical Skills:

Very proficient on Windows desktop and server platforms including Active Directory.
Experience with CISCO networking components – installation and configuration.
Knowledgeable on the Virtualisation technologies.
Familiarity with Linux and MAC OS.
Application skill set: Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS Office, Symantec Backup Exec, Networking and Routing.

Ideal candidate should possess at least 2 of the following technical qualifications:

MCSE 2003
CCNA
MCSA
MCP
CCIA
