My client is offering recent graduates from the IT sector the opportunity to work with Ireland’s leading Payment Gateway, providing first level customer support to both new and existing customers. The successful candidate will gain insight into both the commercial and technical aspects of the Payments Industry, while also gaining valuable experience working within an IT Services & Support role.
Duties and Specific Responsibilities/Experience
• A back ground in technical support in a customer facing environment is required with the added ability to work within a team environment. The applicant will be able to display a history of successfully interfacing with customers.
• Guide new customers through the integration process, assisting them to bring their product or service to the market.
• Act as customer champion, providing expert advice on payment processing and the payments industry to both new and existing clients.
• Efficiently manage inbound support queries, via telephone and email, from both new and existing customers and/or their development partners.
• Quickly and efficiently resolve technical issues, both proactively and as they arise.
• Set up all merchant details and accounts using internal systems.
• Provide training to customers.
The candidate should have experience in the following areas (a candidate with a working knowledge in each area is more suitable than one who is an expert in one area alone):
• Programming languages – Perl, ASP/VB, PHP and Java
• Web Servers – IIS, Apache, others.
• Operating Systems – Windows NT/2000, Linux etc.
A general knowledge and appreciation of internet technologies and security issues would be advantageous and experience in the banking, payments or financial services industries would be a distinct advantage.
