Lead business facing projects to identify, define and deliver business improvement opportunities through analysis and critical reasoning. Build in depth understanding of products, processes, systems and market practices to support business plan execution, whether business as usual or transformation related.
Skills / Competencies Required:
• Excellent communication skills required
• Understanding of project management methods (e.g. PMI)
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Good working knowledge of Commercial General Insurance
• High levels of enthusiasm, commitment, and energy required
• Knowledge of European languages an advantage
• Must be flexible to travel within Europe as and when required (limited duration)
• Good working knowledge of MS Office required,
• MS SQL
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, plan and estimate, coordinate and execute project / phase related activities across multiple project streams
• Become subject matter expert in business processes and working practice, and work to actively grow understanding for same within project delivery teams
• Gather systems and process requirements, analyze to understand and minimize unnecessary variation, document to allow business partners prioritize and verify requirements
• Channel business input to solution design and validate against business objectives, provide input to cost benefit analysis and busi ness case definition
• Ensure solutions are consistent with operational and technology best practice in Europe
• Coordinate and lead business reviews of process and system solution design, development and test phases, including formal review and approvals if necessary
• Prepare and execute business implementation plans including training, user testing and change control management
• Build effective working relationships with business partners and across the project team at all levels to aid effective collaboration and communication
Experience Required:
• Primary or Secondary degree in a related discipline, e.g. Business Information Systems
• 7 plus years full life cycle experience in a similar position required
• Proven experience in project / phase leadership required
• Prior experience in General Insurance or Financial Services preferable
• Prior experience working in an International environment an advantage
• Process and workflow improvement experience is an advantage
• Accreditation from a recognized Insurance Institute
