Software Development Manager, Dublin

A top tier client of ours, who have gone from strength to strength over the years establishing themselves as one of the biggest global players in the e-commerce space, are looking for 2x new Software Development Managers.
This is an extremely exciting time for my client - they're about to undergo a complete technical modernisation, moving the stack to something more modern (C# .Net Core/NodeJS/google cloud platform) and you will be expected to play a pivotal and influential role in this.

In parallel to this my client are getting prepared for what's promising to be an extremely lucrative time ahead. They've been conducting surveys and market research to get a feel for the post covid world and their results are indicating that they will be busier than they have ever been before. There's a lot of ground work needed to get ready for influx and you'll be expected to play a pivotal role in driving this forward and will be given the freedom to do so.

You'll be managing a cross cultural team of developers of various levels, both onsite and remote, we don't need you to be a techie yourself but ideally you won't be too far from it. The team you'll be undertaking will be around 20 strong initially, but we plan to grow this and start new teams in other locations and will look to you to assist with this process.
This is a great role for a current Software Development Manager who is looking for that next challenge through tech modernisation and global expansion.

Requirements:

* Experience leading and managing software teams in an agile environment
* Experiecne as a Software Developer - progression through the ranks to management
* Ability to get involved in the recruitment process and build a balanced team
* Monitor, analyse and optimise process, protocols and resources usage
* Mentor and inspire an established team
* Estimation of project and delivery dates, collaborating with other business teams
* Collaborate closely with PM's and other leaders and peers within the business to create product roadmaps and set team priorities
* Create a supportive and rewarding work environment instilling ownership, accountability and technical excellent in your team
* Ability to drive forward project and the department in general
* A good understanding of the tech (from a conversational perspective)
