PFH Technology seeking a Senior Security Operations Analyst for our Client
Excellent Daily Rate – Initially Six-Month Contract, this will be rolled into longer contracts
Cork or Dublin Based candidates, Remote working until full restrictions lift
Responsibilities
· Configuring and maintaining monitoring, correlation, and alerting solutions to ensure that relevant security issues are identified, alerted on, and responded to
· Correlating events that are reported from multiple systems to identify potential security incidents and initiating the incident response process to ensure security incidents are properly addressed
· Participate in day to day security operational activities
· Review reports, logs and alerts for issues
· Identify security risks, and develop mitigation plans
· Lead response to security alerts, incidents and issues
· Review and communicate analysis of threats and incidents
· Participate in audit compliance including vulnerability management
· Contributing to the configuration and maintenance of security operations
· Expected to stay current on security industry trends, new threats and attack techniques, mitigation techniques, and emerging security technologies
· Initial detection, analysis, and investigation of security events to determine likelihood of compromise and respond according to processes
· Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts
Relevant Experience
· Demonstrated best practice usage of security technologies within a Utility or equivalent industry
· Must have strong experience in Palo Alto or CheckPoint
· Ideally have experience in Fortinet, Websense & Load Balancers
· Demonstrable experience in recommending and installing appropriate tools and countermeasures
· Applicable security certifications not limited to but including ISACA certifications CRISC, CISSP, CISA, CISM
· Networking certifications like CCNA, CCNP and CCIE are also advantageous but not essential
· Demonstrable experience with information security awareness and operational risk policies, standards and procedures
· Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and independently on detail orientated tasks
· In-depth knowledge and understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model, LAN/WAN, cabling and data transmission types, network topologies, routing protocols, and remote access methods)
· Demonstrable experience with Incident, Problem and Change management processes in enterprise environments
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science
· Primary and/or Master’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Engineering
· Certification in ISTQB or equivalent industry standard testing certification/qualification
