Network Engineer

About this role

Due to continued success, my Dublin based client has a requirement for an experienced Network Engineer to join their team. This role will enjoy working on national level projects and will be responsible for the design, installation, commissioning and ongoing support of their networks. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned network engineer with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot network connectivity and access issues in a timely manner
* Design, provision, and operate IP WAN/LAN networks
* Provide 2nd and 3rd level support as required
* Train and mentor other staff as required
* Act as the product champion for the organisation

Skills required:

* Minimum 5 years' experience with telecommunications networking
* Proven experience in the operation and configuration of Ethernet switches/routers, and MPLS routers
* Solid understanding of TCP/IP and IP/MPLS networking concepts
* Strong understanding of layer 0/1 telecommunications equipment and supporting infrastructure
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent vendor management, stakeholder management, and/or customer service.
