Senior Technical Writer - Daily Rate Contract - Urgent
This role will be remote initially for a number of months.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage online documentation designed to educate and support developers
Create original technical content related to payment APIs and SDKs
Work with engineers, product managers, QA, and technical success to research highly technical information and incorporate it into documentation
Develop and maintain templates for documents
Maintain a uniform voice and style across all externally facing developer content
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a focus in Communications, English, Technical Writing, Journalism, or a related discipline
5-10 years experience writing technical documentation
An ability to read, understand, and communicate code
An ability to research, analyze, and distill complex technical information
Experience using developer tools like GitHub and JIRA
A strong attention to detail and accuracy
Preternatural ability to explain complex concepts to non-domain experts
Writing samples demonstrating a clear and effective style
Bonus points for:
Front End developer experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
Experience documenting enterprise software
Experience with payments
A profound love of the Oxford comma
