Front End Developer – Carlow
We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Front-End Developer to join one of the world’s leading providers in their industry. Our client is responsible for providing software development for many different large-scale business applications. They have been setting the standards over the last 40 years creating innovative and customer centric software solutions using cutting edge technology.
Responsibilities of the Front-End Developer role:
• Translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application
• You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works
• Implement responsible web design principles to ensure that our company website renders well across multiple devices
• Design a framework for creating user apps that grows with the needs of the company
• Monitor website performance, watch for traffic drops related to site usability problems and rectify the issues optimizing maximum speed and scalability
• Develop new user-facing features and build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Responsible for the design of user experience and user interface solutions for new and existing features for the existing portfolio of applications for a business area
• Responsible for communication and collaboration with key stakeholders in the delivery of user experience and user interface solutions
• Responsible for simplifying complex processes to create a customer-centric user experience
• Responsible for ensuring the quality of new interaction models, user task flows, and graphical user interface designs through usability testing and user research
Required Experience and Skills for the Senior Front-End Developer role:
• 4+ years of HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience
• 2-4 years of SASS experience
• 2-3 years of Vue.js experience
• 3-4 years of Javascript Frameworks (ex. KnockoutJS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS)
• 4 years of accessibility and GIT/TFS or other version control experience
• 4 years of build tool experience (ex. Webpack, Gulp, Grunt, npm) and experience in reading Photoshop/InVision/Sketch
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies
• Demonstrates strong focus on quality delivery and delighting customers; holds self to high standards of delivery
• Strong team player; able to work effectively within a team and more broadly with people from a variety of backgrounds and areas across the organization
