.Net .Net Support Developer

My Client is a leading multinational financial services and insurance firm that offers a range of products to customers world-wide. They are currently seeking a .Net Support Developer that will assist and enhance the development of key applications supporting their critical business processes. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with a wide range of technologies to provide assistance and quality, and will have strong software engineering skills.
Responsibilities of the .Net Support Developer role:
• Comprehensive analysis and resolution of Production system issues
• Ownership of software application changes on implementation to Production systems
• Comprehensive documentation of changes applied and participation in knowledge transfers
• Identify potential alternatives to the requested approach.
• Problem recurrence prevention by focusing on root cause analysis
• Liaise with Business stakeholders and build and maintain key relationships
• Liaise with .NET Development to maximize throughput and minimize environment congestion
• Liaise with Technical Leads for solution alignment
• Adhere to overall .NET standards
• Ensure Production Support Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met

Required Experience and Skills for the .Net Support Developer role:
• A relevant 3rd level qualification with minimum 3 years C# / .NET development experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of .NET Framework application stack including
• .NET Web Services / Web API
• ASP.NET MVC / Client Side: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• SQL Server / Entity Framework
• Understanding of software development standards, design patterns and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Desirable Experience
• Application development with Microsoft .NET Core
• Practical knowledge of workflow management applications, e.g. TIBCO iProcess, Print Solution
• Experience with Insurance Underwriting applications, Insure/90 (I/90) would be an advantage
• Systems, e.g. ISIS; change control applications, e.g. ROCKET ACMS
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent customer service skills
• Work independently as well as part of a team
