Hadoop / Big Data Engineer

We are working on an excellent opportunity with a leading global semiconductor company who have an urgent requirement for an experienced Hadoop / Big Data Engineer to join their advanced R&D team in North Dublin.

They are seeking to hire a Developer to help plan, design and develop solutions delivered to leading semiconductor companies across the world. Candidates should have a strong analytical and mathematical aptitude, as implementing algorithms is a primary duty in this role.

This a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a small, world-class team and get their hands on the latest tech the market has to offer.

What you need:

* Strong academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics. PhD or Masters preferable
* Excellent programming ability in Python
* Good knowledge of Hadoop and Big Data (Spark, Kafka, Hive)
* Strong experience developing cross platform (Windows/Linux)
* Experience in C#/.NET, C++, Java, Jira, Git, MATLAB & Algorithm development very desirable
