.Net Developer
My Client is a leading multinational financial services and insurance firm that offers a range of products to customers world-wide. The IT Development department are currently undergoing transformation from a Waterfall to Agile development environment, with new developers supporting the transition and working closely with Software Practice Leads, Architecture and Product Management to deliver against projects that support the digital and business strategy.
The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years’ experience with .NET Framework, SQL Server and enterprise web applications development. The successful candidate should demonstrate good software engineering skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of technology to deliver solutions on time and quality.
Responsibilities of the .Net Developer Role:
• Creating quality code that meets business needs, follows agreed technical design and coding standards
• Writing and maintaining unit tests
• Understanding the requirements of the business. Identifying/rectifying gaps in scope
• Liaise with Technical Leads for technical solution alignment throughout full SDLC
• Learn new technologies, make suggestions for design and implementation improvements and develop POC/experiments as part of the new features development or existing functionality upgrades.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in the knowledge transfers
Required Skills and Experience for the .Net Developer Role:
• A relevant 3rd level qualification with minimum 3 years C# / .NET development experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of .NET Framework application stack including
• Application development with Microsoft .NET Core
• .NET Web Services / Web API
• ASP.NET MVC / Client Side: Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• SQL Server / Entity Framework
• Understanding of software development standards, design patterns and best practices
Desirable Experience for the .Net Developer Role:
• Practical knowledge of workflow management applications, e.g. TIBCO iProcess, Print Solution
• Application development with Microsoft .NET Core
• Experience with Insurance Underwriting applications
