Linux / AWS SysOps Engineer required at associate level with mix of Linux systems administration / configuration / build / admin and troubleshooting, Cloud specifically AWS such as (configuring servers / optimising AWS resources /usage / performance / CloudFormation), Virtualisation (Zen, KVM, VMWare) ideally from large infrastructure environment is required by Tech Giant in Dublin, Ireland to play key role involving support, configuration and optimisation for clustered systems including support, deploying servers, optimising performance / ensuring performance / demands / ensuring value for money for usage.
As a Linux / AWS SysOps Engineer "Sys Ops" you will have skills in the majority of
Essential to have sound skills in Linux systems including deployment, admin, troubleshooting, support, and system builds / configuration such as RedHat or CentOS
Essential to have some hands on AWS Cloud experience to configure servers / optimise AWS resources for usage & performance V Demand
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator qualification would be ideal
Specific AWS technologies could include CloudFormation, config, Service Control, Service Catalogue, cost control etc
Essential skills to have Virtualisation / Virtualization / Hypervisors such as KVM, Xen, VMWare
Proven IT Infrastructure experience on physical and virtualised cluster technologies
Automation of Physical servers deployments using tools such as Cobbler or Spacewalk
Experience of Linux OS upgrades including firmware
Experience of Ansible or Puppet
Experience with OpenStack and Xen would be an advantage
Likely backgrounds are likely to Cloud Operations, Linux / AWS Operations / Cloud Infrastructure EngineerThe role will be at associate level and will offer great opportunity to support a large scale infrastructure with components based on Linux, AWS, Infrastructures which support highly available and large scale web systems.
The role will also be involved in on call as part of a rota within the team.
This is a great chance to flex your technical and communication skills working in a large international company / tech function and will be hands on with a good mix of Linux / server and AWS / cloud computing / Virtualisation.
As times return to normal the role will offer a mix of office / home working but at the moment its remote based.
