IT Security Engineer
I am currently looking for an experienced security engineer to join my client's team. My client has an established security team but due to continuing success need to expand to assist with their enterprise clients. This is an exciting role as you will have the opportunity to work in various areas of security including security architecture, support, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate as Level 3 support for various security tools
* Reviewing the security controls in place in the End User Computing environment on a regular basis. Looking for overlap or consolidation opportunities, identifying any gaps for existing or new attack vectors.
* Reviewing and making recommendations on new vendor offerings such as updated operating systems, OS version upgrades, new OS security functionality, etc.
* Providing consulting from an information security perspective on new projects and capabilities being proposed by the End User Computing organization. Coordinating efforts with other Information Security departments as needed to ensure the correct teams are engaged.
* Determining the security posture of the global desktop images and working with other IT groups to resolve any issues found
* Comparing security agent coverage from a platform perspective
Key Requirements:
* Degree Educated
* 4+ years of security architecture or engineering specialising in end user platforms
* Strong device security experience
* Experience working within Security tools i.e. qradar, Mcafee, Tanium
* Strong troubleshooting skills
* Experience in vulnerability and Threat management
* Skilled in software development and scripting languages i.e. Python, Powershell, Java
* Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, and make sound decisions in emergency situations
