Citrix Engineer

The Role

My client is looking for a well-rounded Citrix engineer for their growing Infrastructure Support team. This team is responsible for the design, administration, and daily operation of critical systems used to support their client's systems. The team also helps to create new support services and architects their core infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot client incidents via Citrix NetScaler & XenApp environment.
* Provide level 2 support and act as an escalation point to junior colleagues
* Perform daily administrative tasks of Citrix Farm
* Build and maintain relationships with other IT departments
* Document any new issues and solutions clearly to aid colleagues in the future.
* Play a key role with onboarding new clients, including environment provisioning, customer connectivity, service integration, and security configuration

Key Requirements:

* Degree Educated in IT field
* Minimum 3 years work related experience
* Specialist knowledge with Citrix NetScaler, XenApp, Storefront, and Director.
* Good App-V administration experience along with Windows Server ideally 2008 through to 2016
* Strong experience of Active Directory
* Experience designing highly available and secure Citrix environments.
* A strong sense of customer service
* Scripting and automation experience i.e. PowerShell, Perl, etc. a large plus
* Solid understanding of file transfer and web protocols i.e. FTP, SFTP, HTTP/S
* Experience with application server technologies
