DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an enthusiastic new member of the Blackrock College eLearning/IT team to support over 2000 users throughout the campus. We are seeking a team player who can quickly diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software faults and adapt to evolving technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical support to all staff, students and parents
- Windows and Office 365 setup and administration
- User account configuration: permissions and password management
- Supporting or installing CCTV software
- PC installation and configuration
- Hardware and software troubleshooting and repair
- Configuring and supporting all networked devices
· Personal device support
· Projector setup and maintenance
· Printer & scanner troubleshooting
· On call classroom/office IT Support
· Manage and update IT inventory
· School Database - administration assistance & support
· Parent App - support, login details
· Digital TV - maintenance and content management
· YouTube Channel - administration & support, content management
· Audio/Visual equipment set up and content editing
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, innovative and proactive
- Third level Computer Science/IT or related qualification
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role or a recently qualified graduate with work experience
- Administration of Office 365, Windows Server & Windows 10
- Understanding of networking protocols
- Experience of MySql or scripting is an advantage
- Knowledge of virtualisation an advantage
