ICT Application Development Manager
I'm currently working closely with an established local organisation who are searching for an Application Development Manager to lead their development group within the ICT and Business Services department.
The development group sits alongside their infrastructure and build departments but has the freedom to influence projects within both groups. The successful candidate will be leading a team of 6 engineers as well as coordinating project delivery with multiple external vendors. One key aspect of this role is that you will need to be conscious of the business side and focus on the delivery of projects. The technology is important but you will also need to focus on helping the business to work better and more effectively.
This role requires someone with a technical background working in Microsoft environments. Ideally you will have some development experience but if you're not a hands on programmer but a technical manager with a strong understanding of the software development life cycle who can lead code reviews then you're still a fit.
My client are working on a number of large scale integration projects and over the next 3-5 years they have a huge amount of interesting and sophisticated work to get through. Desired Skills/Experience:
* Experience leading small technical teams.
* Strong understanding of the SDLC.
* Knowledge of public procurement with experience managing vendors and working to SLAs.
* Experience working with the Microsoft stack.
* Hands on programming skills are highly desirable.
* Strong troubleshooting.
* Agile and Waterfall methodology knowledge.
* Strong project management skills.
