Level 1 Unix Operations Engineer

This is a really exciting role for someone looking to build a career in Unix Operations and Support. If you've got a couple of years hands on in a Linux Ops or NOC role then this position is the perfect next step.

It's a chance to join a hugely established company who are a big player in the financial world. They are a highly regarded Hedge fund who have been expanding their Dublin office across the course of this year. The Dublin team will have 3 members including this role. You will work alongside a team lead and a network specialist as you train to become the Unix/Linux ops specialist for the EMEA region. You will get the chance to work on Linux based projects with the Ops team but your primary focus will be eyes on glass support and incident management for my clients global operations.

Attitude is key for this role. They want to see enthusiastic problem solvers who really want to throw themselves into this position. It's a perfect example of getting out what you put in as in return for your commitment you'll receive first class training and the future potential of progressing up through the Unix operations department.

Desired Skills/Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant discipline.
* Strong knowledge UNIX/Linux servers.
* Strong Networking knowledge, CCNA would be a big bonus.
* Strong troubleshooting skills.
* Great communication and a team focused attitude.
