IT Infrastructure Operations Manager

We are currently working with a multinational company based in Dublin City Centre who are expanding their infrastructure engineering and operations department.

Their initial focus is on finding a Manager for the Infrastructure Operations team who will work in a technically hands on capacity as well as leading a team of 5 engineers.

This is a chance for someone to move from a technical lead into a hands on managerial role.

It will perfectly suit someone who has been working in a team lead role for the last few years and wants to make a move into a position that will allow for more managerial responsibility whilst still maintaining a hands on element.

It will also be a great move for someone who has been working in a hands on Operations Manager role and wants to move to a company who are thriving and expanding despite the current challenging economic conditions.

It is essential that you have experience managing a team in a 24x7 mission critical operations environment, with a proven track record of mentoring more junior engineers as well as managing vendors and communicating with senior management on a regular basis.

Desired Skills/Experience:

* 2-3 years team leadership in a 24x7 mission critical environment
* Strong Linux engineering skills
* Hands on exposure to Openstack/VMware
* Experience with one or more of Ansible, Chef, Salt, Puppet
* Datecentre Management experience.
* Experience with Tomcat or similar tools
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
