Warehouse and Logistics Manager
PFH are looking for an experienced Configuration & Logistics Manager to direct receiving, warehousing, value-add and distribution operations. You will be accountable and responsible for defining and managing the configuration management policy and processes. You will also oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-add services and dispatch of a wide variety of ICT products.
Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for an effective manager to direct the existing and future growth of the PFH warehousing and value-add operations located in Little Island, Cork. The expansion of the PFH business necessitates You will oversee a wide variety of products and advice on how the operations can be enhanced and expanded to manage the growing level of activity. You should be able to ensure configuration targets are achieved and that all logistics & value add services and processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Your responsibilities will be:
• Management of a team of Configuration Engineers & Warehouse Operatives
• Meeting client SLA’s
• Achievement of internal KPI’s
• Communication to internal scheduling & support teams
• Managing logistics in compliance with company’s policies and procedures
• Part of the ISO9001 compliance team
• Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilisation
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all logistics, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with Navision ERP System
• Liaise with suppliers and transport companies
• Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
• Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
• Work with our Service Delivery Managers to enhance services and develop ICT engineers through the organisation
• Produce reports and statistics regularly ( example: status reports, aged stock report , Value add services throughput etc.)
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
Requirements
• Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
• Knowledge of IT Systems
• Experience of high value warehouse operations
• Working with technical systems to add value to services
• Proven experience as a logistics manager
• Expertise in configuration management procedures and best practices
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong knowledge of managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
