IT Operations Manager
I'm currently working with a multinational company based in Dublin CC who are expanding their infrastructure engineering and operations department. Their initial focus is on finding a manager for the Operations team who will work in a technically hands on capacity as well as leading a team of 5 engineers.
This is a chance for someone to move from a technical lead into a hands on managerial role. It will suit perfectly someone who's been working for the last few years in a team lead role and want to make a move into a position that will allow for more managerial responsibility whilst still maintaining a hands on element. It will also be a great move for someone who has been working in a hands on Ops Manager role and wants to move to a company who are thriving and expanding despite the current challenging economic conditions.
It is essential that you will have experience managing a team in a 24x7 mission critical operations environment with a proven track record of mentoring more junior engineers as well as managing vendors and communicating with senior management on a regular basis.
Desired Skills/Experience:
* 2-3 years team leadership in a 24x7 mission critical environment.
* Strong Linux engineering skills.
* Hands on exposure to Openstack/VMware.
* Experience with one or more of ansible, chef, salt, puppet.
* Docker exposure.
* Experience with tomcat or similar tools.
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
