Data Scientist

We are recruiting for an exciting and tech focused marketing company in Galway. They require a data scientist to bring their expertise and experience to analyse data, build dashboards, build reports and create predictive models.

Responsibilities

* You will build strong relationships with external stakeholders to make sure you have a full understanding of their challenges and work towards achieving their objectives.
* You will analyse and organise the data, identifying which data and analysis technique is needed for each project.
* You will use predictive modelling and cutting-edge machine learning methodologies to provide insights to various stakeholders within the company and external clients.
* You will report and present these insights to lead clients into action.
* You will engage in client meetings, explaining your methodology through story telling techniques.
* Lead the team of data scientists on a day to day basis and make sure the smooth completion of their projects.
* You will develop processes to measure the value of modelling to the company with clear targets, KPIs and measurement in place.

Requirements

* BSC or higher in a Maths/Computer Science or equivalent degree

* 4+ years of experience data mining & analytics, building models with large, complex and multi-dimensional data sets.
* Experience with predictive modelling techniques and accomplished in use of R or Python machine learning and related modules.

* High level of proficiency with SQL
* High level of proficiency with Tableau, Power BI or other visualisation tools
* Strong communication and presentation skills required
* Previous experience reporting directly to customers/clients desirable
