Role Summary:

 

The successful candidate will play a key role in the IT Department with responsibilities including…

- Work in a wider project team on the end to end testing of complex software solutions
- Lead the automation of end to end testing of business critical software enhancements
- Be proactive in the development of the Test Team capabilities

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

As a Automation Test and Quality Analyst your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

 

- Define and implement a test automation strategy.
- Identification of automation tools suitable for Web, API and iSeries mainframe automation testing.
- Work with project teams to identify how automation can be used in their projects.
- Input into project plans with estimates for test automation
- Identify and build test scenarios suitable for automation.
- Execute automated test cases as per the agreed testing plan, log and retest defects as necessary using the appropriate test tools.
- Tracking, control and resolution of testing issues and queries.
- Sign-off completed automated test runs/cycles.
- Work with the Test Lead to ensure sharing of experiences, best practices and lessons learnt.
- Upskill team members and business partners on automated testing tools and standards so that these can be used efficiently during the test preparation and execution phases ensuring all Testing collateral meets the required standards
- Provide guidance and training in automation across the other IT teams.
- Working with partner organisations in developing and maintaining automated test deliveries

- Ability to help keep team motivated in high pressure situations.
- Experience in all areas of the testing life cycle.

Your Skills and Experience

Performance Management Accountabilities

 

Technical Skills & Knowledge & Education:

 

Having one or more of the following technical competencies:

 

- 3-5 Years Automated Software Testing Experience
- Experience in defining test plans and creating test summary reports
- Formal qualification in Software Testing, would be an advantage
- General Insurance industry knowledge, would be an advantage
- Experience in software testing in iSeries environment would be an advantage
- Experience with working with offshore colleagues, would be an advantage
