ABOUT THE ROLE:
The team works in 3-week sprints to support and improve deployment of a large, service-oriented telecommunications network management application on private cloud (OpenStack) environments. The deployment is quite mature at this point and is in use across the globe. This role will challenge you to find novel solutions to problems in a large software engineering organisation, while at the same time allowing you to have a real impact on the shape of the software product.
ABOUT YOU:
4+ years of experience in a similar role
Ability to analyse and troubleshoot issues effectively
Hands-on experience with some of the following: (OpenStack / Java / Python / Bash / Ansible)
Hands-on Linux sysadmin experience – for maintenance/automation of dev/production servers
Experience of networking and network design
Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
Passion for finding solutions to technical problems --- a can-do attitude
BONUS SKILLS:
Hands-on experience with OpenStack / HEAT orchestration
Hands-on development / debugging shell scripts
Knowledge of JBOSS application server
Passion for continuous delivery: a DevOps mindset
