Front End Developer, React - Belfast (£45k - £55k)

Sports has always been a big part of my life.

I played Rugby at school, tried my hand at Karate and Jiu-jitsu, played golf regularly as well as five-a-aside football.

I watch way too much sport on TV at the weekends.

Until now, I have never really given it much thought about what how hectic the schedule can be of a professional sportsperson.

What we see on the pitch, court or racetrack, is just one small part of a sports person life.

What we don't see is the training, strength and conditioning sessions; the medical, nutritional, psychologist and PR appointments; the thousands of interactions between players, coaches and staff every single week.

These are all managed with any combination of team meetings, phone calls, whiteboards, message groups, spreadsheets and sporadic notifications.

It's like organised chaos and its so easy to lose track or miss appointments. When this happens, you end up with an athlete who feels like they are not 100% prepared when the time comes to perform.

The difference from winning to losing can be decided on the smallest of fractions. Talent alone is not enough to ensure success. Performance comes from preparation.

You can be a part of a company that is currently revolutionising the sports industry.

They have identified a gap in the market from the experience of the companies' founder, a professional sports star who played for both club and country.

This software helps create an effective and cohesive unit between players and staff by centralizing all personal and team plans and providing a simple, intuitive app to coordinate the management of all weekly schedules.

It provides coaches and practitioners with the tools to upload detailed session plans to the weekly schedules of individual athletes and teams.

Finally, it provides a simple and engaging dashboard for athletes to view in real-time how they've performed after every session.

The next 5 months are going to be crucial in the development of this app so they need an experienced Front End Developer. You'll have experience building and deploying React applications in a production environment. Ideally, you will be a senior developer with at least 5-years' experience, however, we will consider more junior developers who have experience building mobile apps using React or React Native.

On offer is an excellent salary up to £55k, share options, full autonomy, and a highly collaborative team.
