Salary : £47,000 - £60,000

Working Hours : 36.25 hours per week

Location : Base office is flexible at any of the national offices - Belfast, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff, London (Barkingside) or Crawley. Regular local and national travel will be required

Our client, a leading children's charity are looking to recruit for a Programme Manager, to take on the responsibility for the delivery of complex products and services that have high technical or political risk, whilst ensuring you are sharing skill and innovation, bringing greater opportunities to the team.

Key Responsibilities :

* Handle dependencies of varying complexity, potentially planning and feeding into larger programmes and portfolios
* Identify opportunities to simplify work across the team
* Assess and mitigate risks, (both corporate and project) commercials and budgets
* Support, lead, train and mentor a team of delivery managers
* Be responsive to new developments within digital, technology and charity Key Activities :
* Act as a main contact for blockers, risks and any other issues, working to resolve these and escalating where necessary
* Deploy and re-deploy people and resources as needed
* Understand and handle relationships between complex stakeholder groups, balancing priorities
* Promote your programme of work with senior management
* Being aware of new ideas, changed and methodologies within the digital community and expanding the teams skillset
* Lead team development and engagement activities
* Build relationships with third party suppliers, ensuring appropriate use of budget
* Endorse our clients work within the local community, bringing back insights from other charities, digital businesses and the government, to improve work and processes Education / Knowledge:
* Degree holder in Computer Sciences, Management and Communications, or any other relevant qualifications
OR
* Be able to demonstrate long term professional experience and commitment to learning and building your skills in other ways, such as online learning or professional qualifications etc Experience / Skills Required :
* Significant experience of project and programme management
* A deep understanding of benefits delivery, from strategy to realisation with sound financial knowledge, including cost versus benefit analysis and forecasting
* Leadership of programmes, projects and change management initiatives, using agile and other methodologies
* Experienced in a coaching style of leadership
* Understanding of how to develop business cases and lifecycle management
* Expertise in problem solving, and pre-empting issues before they occur
* Knowledge and understanding of change and transformation programmes
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, being able to facilitate robust discussions
* A high level of organisation and planning
* Detailed understanding of legislative, financial and reputational risk, with experience of implementing working practices to prevent and mitigate errors
