Project Manager - Belfast (£30k - £40k)
Do you have experience working on web, mobile or eCommerce-based projects?
Would you like to work with true global organisations? How about some travel to the USA?
This project management job is based in Belfast and it comes with a comprehensive benefits package such as a biannual bonus, pension, healthcare, life insurance, paid over-time, half-day on a Friday, certified training, free car parking and more.
Who is the company?
This is the original Belfast-based digital agency that has been operating for over 20 years delivering user-centric design and integrated digital solutions. But this just scrapes the surface of who and what this company is.
They have an excellent working environment which has been confirmed by the numerous candidates Corvus has placed in the company. They invest heavily in their staff with ongoing training and one of the most competitive benefits packages for a local digital agency. They strive to make sure everyone has a good work-life balance.
I have placed several digital professionals with this company over the last 7 years; ranging from developers, designers to software support engineers and all have stayed for the foreseeable. The feedback has been excellent from each candidate and Corvus has full confidence in the MD and the culture he has worked hard to build.
Over the past 12 months, they secured two major contracts in Washington D.C. and they have a significant client base across the states. This includes one of the largest construction and engineering companies in the world.
What does the job involve?
You would be working on enterprise-level digital projects and managing with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success. You will develop project plans that merge client requirements with company goals while coordinating various managers and technical staff, from start to finish. This will require strong communication skills as you will need to provide encouragement, identify problems, and create solutions.
You will analyse the economics of projects and provide the client with info on cost-benefits and return on investment. To do this effectively, you will oversee the acquisition of all relevant resources and materials as needed.
What skills and experience are needed?
You will need around 3-years of project management experience within the digital sector (websites, mobile applications, digital solutions etc.) Excellent organisations and interpersonal skills along with the ability to monitor and control budgets are all needed. An understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) would give you a distinct advantage.
