What will I be doing?

* Helping Developers to improve overall database performance continuously
* Administering MSSQL Server in virtualised environment
* Working with Windows server & clustering
* Expert use of T-SQL, DMVs, Cursors and Window Functions extensively to improve performance
* Advising, designing and planning In-Memory objects and compiled stored procedures
* Troubleshooting and resolving database problems
* Database Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and 3rd party tools
* Using high-level skills to perform database optimisation, analysis and resolution of performance issues using wait stats, profiling, PerfMon and extended events
* Designing, Implementing and Supporting High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server
* Database design (normalization, experience with VLDB management will be helpful)
* Designing and Implementing SQL Server database Partitioning, SSIS and log shipping solutions
* Database disk design and implementation. (using SAN, iSCSI or DAS)
* Implementing operational automation using Active Scripting (including PowerShell)
* Designing, implementing and managing indexes and statistics
* Working with Database source control and object deployment
* Developing operational policies, procedures, controls and standards
* Backups, restoration and working with different recovery models
* Monitoring database operational performance & alert for MSSQL Server
