The Role
My Client is a leading provider of cash forecasting software solutions for mid to large size companies. The ideal candidate will be confident in their abilities, have a passion for developing secure and scalable Web Applications.

Responsibilities of the Ruby on Rails Developer Role:
• Design, build, and maintain secure, efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
• Involvement in project planning, estimation, and delivery of features
• Work with product management and development teams to drive architecture changes
• Integrate the application with our backend Postgres database with an emphasis on query efficiency
• Integration with 3rd party systems
• Help with integration of UI elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization
• Identify bottlenecks and issues within the web application and devise solutions
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, reporting directly to a Technical Director
Required Skills and Experience for the Ruby on Rails Developer Role:
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing Ruby and Ruby on Rails web applications
• Extensive experience with relational databases and query performance
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Proven background with object-oriented design and implementation
• Strong TDD background using Rspec
• Experience in Integration between systems
• Experience with gems, REST API interactions, and data modeling
• Knowledge of Rails scalability
• Knowledge of PostgreSql scalability
• Knowledge of Dev-ops a plus.
• Deep understanding of Web Application Se OWASP top 10
Advantage
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Circle CI
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with a client-side JavaScript framework
