I am currently working with an organisation who are looking for a 2nd line support engineer to join their team in Antrim on a contract, with a very high likelihood of extension.
Your new role
As a 2nd line support engineer, you will be providing technical support across the organisation. Responsibilities include:
* Investigating reported system faults and resolving these
* Ensure service requests are appropriately logged on the service desk, and are managed within agreed processes.
* Assist with the support of Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems, Microsoft Office 2003/2010, Outlook 2007/2010 and other widely used software throughout the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you must ideally have a minimum of a BTEC HNC/ HND, and 6 months IT Support experience within last 3 years, or ideally 2 years IT Support experience within last 3 years. You must also have knowledge and understanding of common PC network operating systems including Windows XP, Windows 7 and MS Office suite of applications including MS Outlook.
