Senior DevOps Engineer

Working in a cross functional team, you will be responsible for maintaining/extending the build, test and deployment pipeline across all test and production environments

Responsibilities of the Senior DevOps Engineer Role:
• Working closely with a cross-functional product team of Software Engineers, QA, DBAs and the Engineering Manager to ensure smooth deployments of software updates
• Work closely with the CICD team to optimize existing pipelines, establish and enforce best practices
Required Skills and Experience for the Senior DevOps Engineer Role:
• 6+ years’ experience in a Build/Release Engineer role
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent education
• Experience working in an agile/scrum development environment
• Experience scripting and automating, particularly using Powershell
• Containerization using Docker
• Experience in deploying .NET Framework and .NET Core applications and components
• Experience in deploying complex distributed system in AWS – specifically using EC2, ECS, S3, ALB, VPC and IAM
• Experience in administering and using Octopus Deploy or any other similar application delivery pipeline
• Atlassian Stack experience e.g. Bitbucket, Bamboo
• Experience working with SVN and GIT
• Experience in automating database deployments and database versioning or source control tools
Desirable skills and experience for the Senior DevOps Engineer Role:
• C#/.NET experience, IIS
• Experience in administering and using ELK in AWS
• Experience using SonarQube
• Bash or Python
• Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on other project teams, development partners and stakeholders
• Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation
