The Role
My Client possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of Software Quality Testing. They are currently seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join their experienced team based in Co. Louth.

Responsibilities of the Senior QA Engineer Role:
• Collaboration with the scrum team in creating automated tests
• On-going automation of manual tests and subsequent integration into automated regression test suites
• Implements improvements to test techniques, projects and audit processes to create efficiencies
• Test Plan / Acceptance Criteria design and creation
• Defect logging
• Test Case creation and execution
• Perform best practices/methodologies
• Provides input on specified test area, platform or client for readiness meeting before production push.
• Provides advice and support to other business areas in the use of processes & procedures.
• Contributes to the development of business documentation.
Required Skills and Experience for the Senior QA Engineer Role:
• 5+ years’ experience in QA
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
• QA methodologies, industry best practices, software development lifecycle
• Experience with automating test scripts
• Experience of Microsoft development environment – Visual Studio & Team foundation Service, Azure Devops
• Is proficient in the use of the supported SQA tool suite.
• Advanced proficiency in the use of MS Office packages
• Excellent oral and written communications
Desirable Skills and Experience for the Senior QA Engineer Role:
• Exposure to Behaviour Driven Development and Testing
• Formal training in SQA methods e.g. ISTQB training
• Experience of working with Agile/DevOps process management methodology
