This role would suit someone that is excited by the prospect of seeing their work used to make a difference in the real-world. You will be given the opportunity to combine the combine the best of academic research with ground-breaking industrial engineering. This role focuses on the development of a major research programme in object detection and recognition working alongside other industry experts. You also be given the basis and opportunity to lead the programme and contribute to our client's positive education scheme. A strong academic profile is highly desirable in this role given the team you will be joining. Our client and prospectively you will be a go to industry expert and not only be at the forefront of the industry, but be leading it.
My client offers world class training and support, as well as the latest technology to work with. They work in conjunction with some of the worlds leading research groups / university as well as commercial partners.
PhD in Engineering Science, Computer Vision or a related discipline from an internationally recognised academic institution
Have published 1st author Papers in major (i.e. A/A*, Tier 1) computer science conferences and journals e.g. at CVPR, NIPS, ICML, ICCV, EVVC, TPAMI, IJCV
Have a record of leading industrial research with a very strong and clear application to important problems in Computer Vision
Minimum 3 years post-doctorial experience
Demonstrate ability to develop research in object recognition and detectionDesirable skills
Machine Learning frameworks (At least one of Pytorch, Caffe Tensorflow, Scikit-learn)
Strong programming skills in Python and / or C++
Strong mathematical and statistical background
Ability to communicate research and evangelize work at high levelsThe Company
