Our Client based in Little Island, Cork currently has a requirement for an experienced 3rd Level Citrix Infrastructure Engineer to join their expanding support team. The team currently remotely supports 2500 users across multiple sites. 


We are looking for an engineer who is naturally interested in the technologies they work with and someone who is open to acting as a point of escalation/mentor to junior engineers. 

Responsibilities 3rd Level Citrix Infrastructure Engineer: 
  • Provide Level 3 support, investigation and diagnose all reported and escalated incidents. 
  • Manage and maintain the Citrix environment.  
  • Responsible for management of IT monitoring systems and identify the appropriate resolution in the event management system using Datto Autotask.  
  • Support and deploy solutions for Active Directory and Group Policy.  
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to IT topology, equipment, and configurations.  
  • Act as a mentor to other team members, i.e. coaching in the delivery of projects, tasks and/or troubleshooting exercises  
  • Produce high-quality documentation to support workarounds and/or resolutions to assist in knowledge transfer and efficiencies  
  • Manage the agreed Change management processes.  
  • Provide advice and guidance where appropriate in relation to incidents, service requests and/or projects to ensure the successful completion of said items  
  • Adhere to procedures and processes  
  • Using industry and company best practice and information, provide improvement and efficiency suggestions to our client's existing processes on an ongoing basis. 

Experience Required for this Position: 
  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent Support Skills for Level 3 incident management 
  • Must have Citrix experience. 
  • Intune device management is desirable. 
  • App deliver experience MDM or Citrix desirable. 
  • Must have Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft platforms and services. 
  • Be familiar with Symantec end point protection. 
  • Have good Knowledge of Hardware and SAN environments 

Desirable Technical Certification:
  • Citrix 
  • VCP 
  • Microsoft 
  • ITIL Foundation
