GMSS Systems Administrator & Support Role: Starting August/September 2019.
GMSS is seeking to recruit a Systems Administrator to join its IT/Technical team. Applicants should have 5 years’ IT experience. A hardware background in IT would be a considerable advantage.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
Maintaining and Managing the IT Infrastructure
Providing technical support to office staff and Stenography Team both in-house and in the field
Assisting the Production Team on an opportunistic basis
The Systems Administrator is responsible for day-to-day technical support tasks and systems administration of the IT infrastructure. This key resource also provides end user support and assists in the management of supporting technologies.
Candidates should have the following knowledge and skill sets:
Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Server 2008, 2012, 2016, Exchange 2010-2016, SharePoint and SQL 2012-2016)
Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7-10) & Microsoft Office Support (2007 to 2016)
Active Directory and User, Group Policy and File Permission Administration
Networking, DHCP, DNS, Wireless and 4G Technologies
Server, PC and Laptop Installation, diagnostics & maintenance (hardware and Software)
VMware ESXi v6.x and VCenter support and experience
Firewall configuration and support (SonicWall)
Centrally Managed Anti-Virus (Sophos Enterprise Anti-Virus)
Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Network and Multifunction Printers
Remote client troubleshooting and support
Scripting and creating batch files
Veeam Enterprise Backup
Backup Exec v20 – Server Backup -
Hardware and Software, Testing of failover and disaster recovery
Audio-Visual Equipment Installation
Familiarity with mobile devices including Android devices, iPhones and iPads
-You should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be committed to finding and fixing issues and seeing issues though till the end.

-Represent the Company with discretion.
The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training in the technology that underlies transcription and stenography, including the deployment and management of real-time transcription systems and digital recording systems.
