We are now seeking to recruit an experienced Software Developer for a permanent role within the Institute. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role as part of our Web Team and help shape the future of Chartered Accountants Ireland. The ideal candidate should be energetic, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to their work, and should be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment.
This is an ideal role for a developer who wants to have more experience working in digital delivery. Working as part of the Communications and Marketing Department you will report to the Website Manager.
The role:
Troubleshooting and bug fixing the existing Website
Build and deploy new releases of the website
Work within the organisations to deliver front-end solutions to business challenges
Write well-structured code that conforms to accepted standards
Ensure the site is cross-browser compatible and conforms to website accessibility standards
Identify and fix performance issues
The candidate:
Computer Science Degree or a related technical degree
3 years post qualification technical work experience
Good communication skills including an ability to express yourself to technical and non-technical people.
Ability to multi-task, work independently or as part of a team.
Staying up to date with current trends, and being able to translate them into suggestions and new ideas for our software and the way we work.
Enthusiasm and appetite to learn
Very strong team player able to deal with changing priorities
High level of attention to detail
Interest / aptitude to learn about professional services / education sector
Essential Technical Skills
.NET development, C#, SQL Server, T-SQL
Excellent working knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, JQuery,
CSS Frameworks
XML/Webservices/Web API
Git or SVN
Desirable Technical Skills
UX Testing Experience
Familiarity with OWASP
Crystal Reporting
