Key Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for an energetic Network Engineer to join our expanding team based in Dublin. The role will include some international travel to support our Smart City and Core network deployments.

Principal Responsibilities:

·         Assist in the Design and implementation of creative solutions to support our customers’ needs

·         Ensure timely delivery of network projects

·         Support Core network projects

·         Complete project documentation

·         Participate in “on call” schedules with other members of the team

·         Design and deploy multi site customer solutions

·         Design security solutions for customers

·         Research and evaluate cutting edge technology for deployment in the network

·         Participate in the design and deployment of Smart City solutions

·         Design and deploy enterprise class wireless solutions

Person Specification:

Essential Skills & Experience (key competencies)

·         Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS,  PPPoE, GRE, VRRP, LACP, RADIUS, SNMP, Spanning tree

·         Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, DMVPN and other routing protocols

·         Self-motivated

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a growing team

·         Practical configuration experience of firewalls, Multi Site WANs, Wireless access points, layer 2 and layer 3 switches, routers

·         Strong multitasker with the capability to drive projects

Experience

·         Have Cisco CCNP or 3 years + equivalent experience

·         Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia experience is desirable

·         Experience in Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls

·         Experience in Castlerock SNMPc and Solarwinds Orion is desirable

·         Knowledge in DWDM/CWDM technologies  is desirable

·         Knowledge and practical experience in MPLS

·         Experience in Ruckus , Alcatel Lucent, Aruba, or Ubiquiti wireless solutions

·         ITIL certification is desirable
